Ashley, age 8

Why did the princess love Greyfoot?

Because she did!

How did learning to love Greyfoot change the princess?

She got use to him.

Ashley's Comments:

It was OK.

Sarah , age 15

Why did the princess love Greyfoot?

The princess loved Greyfoot because he was selfless and awfully kind (not to mention very handsome too!). Over time, as she lived with him she grew to love him - they both grew to love each other (remember the Danish prince-Greyfoot-really only married her to teach her a lesson). I think, out of all the reasons of her falling in love with him, time was the biggest one. You really can get used to somebody when they're with you always and pretty soon you find that you can't do without them - this was a great example of that.

How did learning to love Greyfoot change the princess?

This princess was seriously vain, spoiled and self-centred while she was living in England, however, when she married Greyfoot she was forced to think about others for once, had to also face the shock of a bleary reality - poverty. Greyfoot's loyalty and perserverance showed the princess how wonderful he was when faced with the many problems that stumbled on to them. She must have been very grateful to have such a wonderful husband. I guess he served as a kind of role model to her - his character was infectious!

Sarah 's Comments:

I read this smashing tale when I was 11 or so. It really stuck with me, I've remembered it till now. I think it's a real prime example of compassionate love. Now that I think about it, it's a bit like Cinderella, except backwards see? Anyway, it's a fine story and that what matters, I think. I suppose that's what really got to me...

Why did the princess love Greyfoot?

They led a happy life together. Greyfoot shared everything he had with the princess, though she had been of little use to him.

How did learning to love Greyfoot change the princess?

She became humble by living with a poor beggar in a home without luxury.

Cindi's Comments:

Dreadfully interesting, I must say. Oh, don't worry. It's not dreadful.

Alan , age 10

Why did the princess love Greyfoot?

Because Greyfoot gave the princess a lot of gold.

How did learning to love Greyfoot change the princess?

She was more poor and more caring.

Alan 's Comments:

It was pretty good.

Kirby (Yes that little circle guy), age 10

Why did the princess love Greyfoot?

Because Greyfoot gave the princess a lot of gold and thought he was kind for that and she enjoyed his funny questions because they were quite obvious to everyone. So the princess decided to marry him. Little did she know, Greyfoot was actually the prince of Denmark, but she still loved him anyway.

How did learning to love Greyfoot change the princess?
